At LockMyTrades, we want you to be fully satisfied with our software. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how trials, refunds, and cancellations work. By subscribing to LockMyTrades, you acknowledge and agree to this policy. This policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable Indian laws.
1. 7-Day Free Trial
LockMyTrades offers a fully functional 7-day free trial on all Pro Plans. During this trial period:
- No charges are made to your payment method
- You have access to all Pro features
- You can cancel anytime without any obligation
- We strongly encourage testing the Software on demo accounts first
At the end of the 7-day trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan unless you cancel beforehand. You will receive an email reminder approximately 48 hours before the first charge.
2. First-Time Subscriber Refund Window (14 Days)
For first-time paid subscribers, we offer a generous 14-day refund window after your trial ends and your first payment is processed. If you are not satisfied with the Software for any reason, you may request a full refund within this window.
2.1 Eligibility for First-Time Refund
- Refund request must be submitted within 14 days of your first successful charge
- The Software must have been activated and used in good faith
- Your account must not have violated our Terms & Conditions
- This refund window applies only to your first paid subscription, not to subsequent renewals
2.2 How to Request a First-Time Refund
Email us at support@lockmytrades.com with:
- Subject line: "Refund Request - [Your Email]"
- Your registered email address
- Date of your first charge
- Reason for the refund (helps us improve)
We will process eligible refunds within 7-10 business days to your original payment method. International card refunds may take up to 14 business days due to FX processing.
3. Subsequent Billing Cycles (Non-Refundable)
After your initial 14-day refund window expires, subsequent monthly or annual renewal charges are non-refundable in part or full. However:
- You may cancel anytime to prevent future automatic renewals
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your current paid billing period
- You will not be charged again after cancellation
- No prorated refunds are issued for partial months or unused days
4. Annual Subscription Refunds
For annual subscribers who wish to discontinue beyond the initial 14-day window:
- Within 30 days of annual purchase: Prorated refund minus a 10% processing fee
- After 30 days: No refund, but cancellation prevents future renewal
- Calculation: (Annual Fee − Equivalent Monthly Fee for months used) × 0.90
5. Technical Failure Refunds
If LockMyTrades servers experience documented technical downtime exceeding 72 consecutive hours that prevents core software functionality, you may request a prorated service credit or refund for the affected period. Such requests must be submitted within 30 days of the documented outage.
6. Cancellation Process
You can cancel your subscription at any time using either method:
Option 1: Self-Service
Go to your LockMyTrades Dashboard → Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Immediate confirmation via email.
Option 2: Email Support
Send a cancellation request to support@lockmytrades.com. We process cancellations within 24 hours.
After cancellation, your account remains fully active with Pro features until the end of your current paid billing period. No further charges will be made.
7. Situations NOT Eligible for Refund
The following circumstances are not eligible for refund:
- Trading losses incurred while using or not using the Software (we are a software tool, not a financial advisor)
- Issues caused by your broker, MetaTrader terminal, prop firm, or third-party platform
- Internet connectivity issues, VPS downtime, or hardware failures on your end
- License key sharing or any violation of our Terms & Conditions
- Refund requested after the 14-day first-purchase window has expired
- Subscription renewals beyond the first billing cycle
- Refund requests for accounts terminated due to fraud or policy violations
- Charges resulting from your failure to cancel before the trial ended
8. Chargebacks
We strongly encourage you to contact our support team at support@lockmytrades.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
Initiating a chargeback without first attempting resolution with our support team may result in immediate account termination and may make you ineligible for future LockMyTrades subscriptions. We may dispute fraudulent or invalid chargebacks with the payment processor.
9. Refund Processing Timeline
Once a refund is approved:
- Indian payment methods (UPI, RuPay, domestic cards): 7-10 business days
- International credit/debit cards: 10-14 business days
- Net banking: 5-7 business days
- Refunds are always processed to the original payment method — we do not issue refunds via alternative channels
Bank processing times are beyond our control. If you do not see the refund after the expected timeline, please contact your bank first, and then email us if the issue persists.
10. Policy Changes
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect. Refund eligibility is determined based on the policy in effect at the time of your original purchase.
11. Dispute Resolution & Grievance
If you believe your refund request was unfairly denied, you may escalate by:
- Replying to the original refund decision email with additional context
- Sending a fresh email to support@lockmytrades.com with subject line "Refund Escalation"
- Allowing 7 business days for resolution by our grievance team
Any unresolved disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
